Coach Katrin fell in love with running 6 years ago and has since successfully participated in numerous marathons and shorter distance races; more recently she picked up road cycling and started competing in multisport events. While working as a public-school teacher and college instructor, Katrin began working part-time at Fleet Feet Greensboro/High Point where she started coaching. This year she left behind her teaching career to focus on managing Crazy Running Greensboro. Katrin is a certified USATF coach, worked as a Unified Athletics Coach and won county championships as a middle school track & field head coach. In her spare time, Katrin enjoys spending time outside with her dog, travelling and volunteering for Piedmont Wildlife Rehab.
Jonathan was born at number 6 into a large running family. His dad was the high school coach and ever since he could walk Jonathan wanted to be out there on the course helping out. At age 6 he got the promotion from banana/water boy to busboy and rode the 13-hour drive to the Idaho State course meet. Jonathan was in love with the sport and atmosphere ever since. In seventh grade, he read about Louis Zamperini, a WW2 POW survivor and an Olympian. He started running in the summer for the first time ever to prepare me for cross country. In high school, Jonathan ran two years for Chapel Hill High School, and two years for Rose High School in Greenville. Now Jonathan coaches high school runners and works at Fleet Feet helping people achieve their running goals. Crazy Runners reminds him of being home with his 8 siblings and 10 nieces and nephews running around the park.
