Meet the Coach

Kahlie Abrahams

Kahlie moved to Huntersville, NC after graduating from Wake Forest University in 2013 with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. A native of Western New York, she began running at the varsity level in seventh grade and has been passionate about health and fitness ever since. While at Wake Forest, she was the Head Manager of the women’s soccer team and a volunteer coach with Crazy Running. She has also volunteered as a physical therapy assistant, worked as a YMCA Wellness Coach, and is a Certified Personal Trainer. She has competed in a variety of 5Ks, and obstacle course races. In her spare time she enjoys running with her dog, hiking, and living an active lifestyle.


Tyler Abrahams

Tyler, originally from Cleveland Ohio, moved to Huntersville, NC after graduating from Wake Forest University in 2013.  Tyler has always enjoyed living an active lifestyle.  He enjoys running 5Ks, half marathons, playing baseball, and weight training.  He started coaching baseball when he was a senior in high school, since then he has found many opportunities to coach and encourage children.  After volunteering at countless Crazy Running practices, Tyler decided to become a part of the Crazy Running Team!


Heather Bachman

Heather is a former teacher and now home school mom of two kids. She is a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Youth Fitness Specialist. Heather is currently in her sixth season of coaching the run club for Burn BootCamp Concord and Harrisburg and she has trained kids’ boot camp classes there for the past few years. She began working with Crazy Running in the spring of 2019 at Covenant Classical School and greatly enjoyed time with the kids there! Heather loves sharing her love of running and fitness with the next generation and can’t wait to see what each new season brings.


Caitlin Barry

Caitlin is an Ironman 70.3 competitor, two-time marathon finisher, three-time sprint triathlon finisher, and recognized as the only female from New Mexico to compete professionally in the NASCAR Truck Series, Caitlin Barry is the director of marketing and a coach at Crazy Running of Lake Norman. She has experience coaching children’s sports as well as speaking with kids about the power of sport. Caitlin grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was a varsity tennis player, competitive club soccer player and race car driver. She attended college at Belmont Abbey in Belmont, North Carolina, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a concentration in Sports Management. When she’s not crazy running, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her rambunctious toddler, husband, and family.” 


JoEllen Price

JoEllen grew up running around track meets with her father, a high school track and cross country coach. Her love of running reignited as an adult, and she’s now completed several half marathons, 5Ks and every distance in between. A home school Mom of three, she also enjoys leading group hikes for Moms and kids at the local state parks. She began working with Crazy Running in the fall of 2019, and she loves the opportunity to teach and encourage Crazy Runners to do their best at every practice and have fun! She hopes her young runners will learn to love active, healthy lifestyles for many years to come. 

Katie McKendrick

Katie moved to Huntersville, NC from Corning, NY after graduating from the University of Rochester in 2019 with degrees in Environmental Studies and East Asian Studies. Katie began competing as a distance runner in 7th grade and continued all the way through college. In her spare time, she dreams of traveling the world for fun races and loves to run and hike. She believes that living an active lifestyle is a great way to learn to appreciate the power of our own bodies and the beauty of our surrounding environments. She began coaching with Crazy Running in the Fall of 2019 and her goal is to share her love and passion for running with all of the young runners she works with.
