Winter Conditioning

Our Crazy Running Winter Conditioning consists of endurance, strength and speed development for youth ages 4 – 14. Sixty-minute workouts include running, stretching, strength training, plyometrics, speed development and more! The Crazy Running program motivates, encourages, and challenges young athletes to push themselves, improve their fitness and develop their athletic ability. Crazy Running Winter Conditioning will help the young athlete: be more prepared for spring sports, increase speed and endurance, improve core strength, increase overall fitness in the off-season, become a stronger athlete! Play Crazy, Run Hard!

TykesAges 3-5: Our Tykes are working on building coordination, stamina and focus all while playing FUN Crazy Running games!

JR Crazy Runners; Ages 5-7:  We focus on getting kids moving and making exercise fun! Runners will be introduced to simple strength exercises, fundamental running techniques, and play games that provide a kid-friendly cardio workout!

Upperclassmen Crazy Runners; Ages 8-14: These young runners will be challenged based on their ability; this program is appropriate for the beginning runner or a young athlete who has finished lots of races! The 8 weeks of training teach the qualities of “what it takes” to be a good runner and athlete: goals and determination, endurance, strength, speed, flexibility, & good nutrition.  

Teen Crazy Runners; Ages 13-17: Our teen Crazy Runners are learning more about structured training. Our Crazy Running Teen workouts are perfect for 13-17 year olds who would like a fun, social way to get fit and move. Workouts will include some running, general strength work, mobility and flexibility. Crazy Running Teen workouts will have an emphasis on getting a great cardio and strength workout while having fun together. Workouts will be appropriate for any teenager, no running experience required!

Creekside Christian Academy

Who:Tykes Crazy Runners Ages 3.5-5 (Must have turned 3 by July 2024)- FOR CREEKSIDE ACADEMY STUDENTS ONLY
When:January 13- April 28 (no classes 1/20, 2/17 or 3/31)
Mondays: 1:15 to 2:00 pm
Where:Creekside Gym
Cost:$195 for the 13-week session
Due to changes in our payment processing provider’s policies, in the event of needing a refund, we will need to charge $11 per program refunded.

Spring Training

Our program is designed to help develop coordination and athleticism in kids of all ages. No matter what sport your kids are getting ready for, running can provide great conditioning and will help kids become balanced, well-rounded athletes. We teach the fundamentals using structured practices, form drills, running specific exercises, and running specific plyometrics. We believe in teaching kids to run correctly, being challenged aerobically each practice, and having fun with running games designed to bring out the competitive spirit.

JR Crazy Runners; Ages 5-7:  We focus on getting these young kids moving and making exercise fun! Runners will be introduced to simple strength exercises, fundamental running techniques and games that provide a kid-friendly cardio workout!

Upperclassmen Crazy Runners; Ages 8-12: This group is appropriate for the beginning runner or athlete who would like to get in shape and strong through a variety of ways. We will focus on speed, endurance, and general strength work and conditioning in a fun and exciting way. Lots of running games are a part of our practices!

Elite Crazy Runners; Ages 12-16: Our Elite Crazy Runners are learning more about structured training. These workouts are perfect for kids who would like a fun and social way to get fit and move. Practices will include some running, general strength work, mobility and flexibility. The Elite Crazy Running workouts emphasize getting a great cardio and strength workout while having fun together. Runners in this group should be able to run or run/walk at least a mile.

Groups will run at same time but will be split up on the field according to age/ability

March 1 – April 26 (no practice April 5)

Makeup practice May 3 (if any practices are canceled due to weather)
Where:Grand Cascades Soccer Fields

Cost:$100 for 8-week session

Optional Race:Fiesta 5K Challenge, May 2, 2026
Cost of the program includes training & entry into the Fiesta 5k or Fun Run Challenge in Cumming on May 2, benefiting Emory ALS Center.

Who:Upperclassmen Crazy Runners (ages 9-15)
When:March 1 – April 28 (no practice March 10 or April 5)

Sundays 5pm-6pm
Tuesdays 5:15 pm-6:15 pm

Where:Grand Cascades Soccer Fields (on Rivergate Drive in Suwanee 30024)
Cost:$100 for 1 day/week
$150 for 2 days/week

Who:Crazy Runners (ages 11-17)
When:May 21-June 25 (no practice May 28)
Sundays 6:00-7:00 pm at Lambert Track
Wednesdays 9-10 am at Chattahoochee Pointe Park
Where:Lambert Track and Chattahoochee Pointe Park
Cost:$75 for 6 practices (choose any date/location during the season)
$100 for 10 practices
10 practices total are offered in this session

The 8 weeks of training teach the qualities of “what it takes” to be a good runner and athlete: goals and determination, endurance, strength, speed, flexibility, & good nutrition.  

Elite Crazy Runners: In the elite group, our emphasis is on giving young people the tools they need to be successful athletes. The group will learn running form, dynamic mobility drills, as well as endurance and flexibility.    Sundays will emphasize both speed and endurance, and Wednesdays will focus on endurance and trail running.  Whether an athlete in this group wants to pursue running competitively or use these sessions as training for another sport, our practices will surely help the runners attain their goals! 

Crazy Running Fall Session

Creekside Christian Academy

Who:Tykes (Ages 3.5 to 5)- FOR CREEKSIDE PRESCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY
*Must have turned 3 by March, 2024
When:September 9- December 9
Mondays: 1:15-2:00 pm
* No class on the following dates due to fall break and closure of gym: 9/23, 11/4, 11/18, 11/25

Adult Training for Runners and Walkers

Ages 18 + (16/17 with an adult)

Our adult training group brings the fun of Crazy Running and the knowledge and passion of our experienced coaches together in a way that will both challenge and encourage you to reach your running/walking/fitness goals! Whether you’re a walker, new to running, or an experienced marathoner, we want to help you get stronger, faster, and more confident than ever!

Spring Training 2026

Who:Ages 18+ (16/17 with an adult)
When:Mondays and Wednesdays

March 2 – April 29 (no practice 3/9 or 3/11)
5:30-6:30 pm

Strength and Short Run/Walk workout on Mondays 
Strength and Long Run/Walk Wednesdays

Stefanie Hartman

Stefanie, her husband Chris, and her three children have lived in Forsyth County for over 10 years.  Stefanie began running competitively at age 8, and continued to compete in a variety of events over the years, including long jump, middle distance and cross-country.  She was the Nevada State 800 meter Champion in high school, and she went on to become a scholarship athlete at both the University of Notre Dame and Stanford University.  In addition, Stefanie has coached high school cross country teams, she has USATF level 1 Coaching Certification, and she is a certified teacher in Forsyth County.  In recent years, Stefanie has competed in several triathlons, a Tough Mudder, and she continues to have a passion for running and staying fit in her daily life. Stefanie is excited to share her passion and experience with the next generation!

“I want to create a positive environment for my athletes to build self-confidence, perseverance, and a love for running.  My hope is to promote the “fun” of running, developing a passion for the sport both now and in the future.”
